Makes enough to cover the tops of 2 9-inch layers
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 squares unsweetened baker’s chocolate, melted
1 Tablespoon soft butter
Combine ingredients in order given, beating with rotary beater until blended. Place bowl in pan of cracked ice or ice water and continue beating until the right consistency to spread (about 3 minutes). Spread over My Favorite Chocolate Cake.
